A little backstory: For the past five days, I’ve had about 16 tabs open on my browser, all of them a different property, all of the properties very desirable. I kept all the tabs open in sort of a state of denial, thinking that I wouldn’t actually have to pick between them once Friday rolls around. And yet, here we are, and it’s Friday. I was faced with choices: An ivy-covered Mediterranean-style house in Accord, a massive, 5,000 loft/warehouse/factory space also in Accord, a secluded getaway in Barryville, and over a dozen of other options that could’ve easily taken this spot. But instead, I went with this Woodstock arts and crafts on 8+ acres that includes a guest house and pool. Why? Well, just take a look at the pictures. Like Mary Poppins, it’s practically perfect in every way, with a mix of French countryside sensibilities and lofty modern touches. And it also has a treehouse. Once again, I let the seven year old who lives in my head call the shots. This time, I think she was right on the money.
