Woodstock Contemporary + Waterfall, $299,000
Kandy Harris | May 16, 2014We’ve never been huge fans of the sloping, angular look of 1970s contemporary houses. They always look windowless to us, not to mention all roof. But we do love the interior of this place, especially the high cathedral ceilings (the payoff of that sloping, angular look that’s all roof), a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf as one of the big focal points of the living room (drool drool drool!), a wood stove, and balcony from second floor overlooking the first. Additionally, it comes with a detached heated studio. And all of these things are great, but let’s not kid ourselves: It’s all about the 50′ waterfall, accessible via footbridge. We envision dragging every guest who comes to visit us here to said waterfall and boasting frequently about its existence on our property. Speaking of property, it’s a good size piece of land at nearly 4 acres, and only 1.5 miles outside of the village. For less than $300,000, this is practically a bargain by Woodstock standards. Oh, and also, there’s a waterfall.
