This traditional Saugerties farmhouse with acreage was well-loved by the same family for 70 years. Its cheerful, blue-and-cream exterior is indeed as welcoming as that little sign above the porch steps can attest. The ground-level covered porch is adjacent to a screened porch—and did you catch that little greenhouse window on the side, behind the screened porch? Too cute.

There are both a living room and a parlor on the main floor of the 1,688-square-foot home. The living room has a nice hardwood floor and pale blue walls in great condition.

The parlor has some dated finishes, but if the new owner is a fan of retro, they may want to keep that floral wallpaper and the wood paneling. The floor is gorgeous.

The eat-in kitchen is huge—but we wouldn’t blame the new owner for wanting to update it. A woodstove in the corner keeps things toasty. The kitchen is big enough to house the washing machine and dryer, too.

The cabinets are well-maintained and, without hardware, are a clean slate for new imaginings.

This long, lean mudroom has room in which to move the washer/dryer, in our opinion.

The house has just one bathroom—but the listing mentions a few bonus rooms in the house that we think could be candidates for second baths, if the plumbing allows for it.

This bedroom, with light blue walls and shaggy, two-toned blue carpeting, is the only one of three bedrooms that is pictured with the listing.

The interior of the screened porch is rustic and unfinished, but roomy enough for a picnic table. It’s got a bucolic view…

…of twin red barns that are perfect for either workshops/studios or for use as their intended original purposes.

The home’s 41.1 acres allows for plenty of outdoor entertaining space as well as riding trails galore.

Part of the property has stunning views of the Catskills. Downtown Saugerties is an eight-minute drive east, to grab a pint from among the 16 drafts on tap at The Dutch.
