We featured this Wurtsboro cottage back in March 2019 when it showed promise but needed a complete overhaul. A lot has changed since then…

…as is evidenced by the old listing photos of the c.1927 stone home in the Catskills:

Since it’s New Year, New Renovations Week on Upstater, it seems to appropriate the house, given that all 1,456 of its square feet has been renovated into a cute full-time or part-time home on two acres of Catskills land.

This is a brand-new home, for the most part, in spite of its 93-year-old status. The feature that snagged our attention in its previous incarnation was its wood floors, and it’s nice to see they’ve been restored to a shiny state…

…while the large living room features new double-hung windows and ceiling fans…

…and an open dining area adjacent to the remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances that haven’t even been taken out of the plastic wrap yet, as well as granite counter tops and sparkling-white cabinetry.

Up on the second floor are the home’s three bedrooms, equipped with walk-in closets, and built-in shelving to keep those new bedrooms neat and tidy…

…plus a full bath with new fixtures. Other new features include central AC, electric, lighting, plumbing, wiring, generator, and hot water heater…

…but, if you’re just dying to get in on the fun and do some of your own renovating, feel free to take a crack at shed in the back yard.

The 2.02-acre property is located just a few miles north of Wurtsboro village, Sullivan County, NY.
