Kandy Harris | July 23, 2015
Got questions? As usual, the Cornell Cooperative Extension has answers, particularly when it comes to all matters garden-related. Join the Master Gardener Volunteers this Saturday, July 25, 10am-noon at the Rondout Community Garden (100 Murray Street, Kingston – GMAP) they demonstrate how to most effectively weed and mulch your garden. But wait! There’s more! The free event also provides attendees with the opportunity to apply for a free raised garden plot at the Rondout Community Garden. Anyone from the community is welcome to apply, and, according to Dona Crawford, Master Gardener Coordinator, “The soil is good and there is plenty of sun! These should be very productive garden plots.” The Rondout Community Garden is supported by the city of Kingston and CCEUC’s Creating Healthy Places Project, funded by the New York State Department of Health.
