Think of it as the other Spiegeltent, but instead of being situated next door to the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Bard College, this one is in Midtown Kingston, next door to UPAC (you know, the other big performing arts center). Brought to you by the same masterminds behind the Spiegeltent, San Severia, like the Bard tent, is of Belgium decent. However, where Spiegeltent has more of a cabaret-combined-with-big-top feel, San Severia is lighter, brighter, and more focused on socializing. Open Tuesdays through Saturdays through September, San Severia features live local music acts, family-oriented events, and local fresh fare.

This Thursday at 8pm, San Severia features music by mezzo soprano Malena Dayen accompanied by classical guitarists David Temple and Chris Funk, as well as flutist Rebecca Kuel. On Friday, the tent has B.B. Rabozo, and then on Saturday, Steven Lynch. Interested in finding out more about these performances, including ticket prices? Check out their page on Facebook and “Like” them while you’re at it so you’ve got your finger on the pulse of the Hudson Valley’s latest fun-time European-style party tent.

San Severia is located on Broadway in Midtown Kingston, two doors down from UPAC between Henry and Cedar Streets. Here’s a Bing Map.
