Check Out This Lovely Loft in Newburgh
Kandy Harris | June 16, 2014Thanks, Newburgh Restoration, for hipping us to this cavernous 4,000 square feet second floor loft space on Liberty Street just a couple of blocks from Newburgh’s waterfront. It really hit the spot today, since we’ve had a hankering for wide open spaces at reasonable prices. So what would you do with a space this big? Make art? Open a dance studio? According to Newburgh Restoration, this place is known as the Girdle Factory because, yep, you guessed it, they manufactured women’s frilly unmentionables until 1996. Come see the old factory in person when you’re in town of the next Newburgh Urban Market scheduled for June 21st. The market is part of the Newburgh Illuminated Festival that same weekend. Are you going? Meanwhile, here’s a Street view of the factory.
