New Lebanon Estate on 413 Acres, $1.79 million
Upstater Staff | September 12, 2014Talk about embracing seclusion. This estate in New Lebanon, Columbia County includes over 400 acres of land. All yours. Nobody else is on it but you. That means you can hike it, plant stuff on it. Heck, build a water park on it, if you want (with planning board approval, of course). Wander around on it naked. Who’s going to stop you? Included with this massive swath of land comes a renovated Colonial farmhouse, which is nice enough. No complaints about it (we love the main room fireplace with the Dutch tiles), and the kitchen is a home run, but it’s really all about the land for us. Or is it too much land? I guess if you have nearly $2 million to drop on a country estate, there’s no such thing as too much land, especially since it comes with a caretaker’s cottage for the person who’s going to take care of all that acreage for you.
