Live in Rhinecliff, Walk to Amtrak for $275,000
Kandy Harris | March 25, 2015The Hudson riverside community of Rhinecliff is just about as idyllic as they come. And, for some who commute downstate, it’s a convenient place to live that has its own Amtrak station and still maintains the countryside, rural feeling that we all hope to find up here. However, the housing prices reflect both Rhinecliff’s bucolic nature and its proximity to both public transportation and the Hudson River. For example: This 1300 square foot farmhouse on less than a quarter-acre of land will set you back nearly $300,000. But hey, if you want cheap, there are plenty of other places to look in upstate New York. The cost doesn’t negate the farmhouse’s sweetness and warmth, nor its beautiful surroundings, so we think it deserves a look. Rhinecliff is located in the Dutchess County town of Rhinebeck.
