Casa Hudson in Haverstraw operates either as a bed and breakfast through AirBnb or, if you want to go all out, it also has a Homeaway listing for the entire 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa. It’s newly renovated and situated right on the Hudson, so not only does it offer amazing views, you and your fellow bed and breakfast-ers won’t have to worry about lackluster electric or plumbing. Haverstraw is urban and easily accessible from NYC, but, at the same time, offers easy access to hiking, biking, kayaking or boating. Or, if you prefer less active activities, simply relax out back and enjoy your time away from work/family/annoying roommates. This weekend, and also on September 5th, Casa Hudson is hosting “The Tomato: Can it, Cook it + Celebrate it with Papa Cilio”, in addition to the usual weekend goings-on. Italian may not be everyone’s favorite, though, so feel free to head over to UNION Restaurant and Bar Latino for dinner, if the mood strikes. Heck, do both; the more food, the better.
