A Wintery Gift for You: Two Extra Weekends in December @ Storm King Art Center
Storm King Art Center | November 18, 2016
For frequent visitors and residents of the Hudson Valley region, a little chilly air and snowfall are hardly deterrents to some serious outdoor fun. All you have to do is visit the nearby slopes when they open to throngs of winter-loving skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts to see it in action. This is usually the time when Storm King Art Center closes down for the season…but this season is a little different.
For the first time ever, Storm King is extending its season into the first two weekends in December. Visitors can still catch the stunning 500-acre sculpture park set against the backdrop of the picturesque Mid Hudson Valley, December 2-4 & 9-11, from 10am-4:30pm. On-site services may be limited depending on the weather, so make sure you check the Storm King website for information on closings before you make the drive. Admission for the rest of the season including the December weekends is $15/adults, $12/seniors (65+ with valid ID), $8/ages 5–18 and students (with valid ID), and free for children under 4 and members.
And, at Storm King, membership has its privileges beyond free admission. During these December weekends, all Storm King Members will receive 20% off in the Museum Store and a free Member tote bag. You can join as a Storm King Member online or on-site at Storm King’s Visitor Center/Museum Store. Membership starts at $40/year for seniors/artists/students and $60/individuals. Visit www.stormking.org/support/membership for more information.
