Six Months Later: Suffern Cottage Sold
Upstater | June 5, 2012We featured this cute cottage six months ago when we were looking at “green” real estate — properties that were marketed as eco-friendly. Some of them genuinely were, but we were iffy on this place. It’s central environmental tenet seemed to be its proximity to a train station — hey, that does count for something. Others were iffy on whether or not Suffern counted as upstate.
Clearly someone found the one-bed, 1934 cottage at 23 Meadow Ave. in Suffern, NY, good enough to purchase. It was listed at $279,000 and picked up in March for $255,000. The new owners will surely enjoy those gardens this summer. We’re curious if someone got it for a close-to-home getaway. Purchasers, if you’re reading, drop us a line!
