19th Century Colonial in Kinderhook, $249,000
Kandy Harris | June 27, 2012Pardon the somewhat crash cliche, but it’s practically impossible to swing a dead cat by the tail in Kinderhook and not hit a gorgeous, well-maintained, reasonably priced Dutch Colonial. It’s understandable, of course. Kinderhook was settled by the Dutch in the 1600s, so luckily for us, they are everywhere. And here’s another! Located on three acres in the village, it includes a horse stall that the listing suggests could be made into a studio space. The kitchen is huge, with fancy, professional appliances and lots of counter space (looks like it could use a few more shelves, though). Pretty screened-in porch with a wood stove and stone floors. Straight-up lovely.
