A Tiny House Renovation in Narrowsburg

Last week, we told you about Luxton Lake, a mostly African-American bungalow community in the Catskills that has come upon hard times. But there’s a movement to resurrect it, and Tina Spangler has been renovating this little cutie — you can read about it on the Luxton Lake Reno facebook page.

“This place was built as the ‘show house’ for the Luxton Lake development circa 1952,” she writes. “It was abandoned sometime after the lake was taken out, and I purchased it last year just before it went to the county tax auction. I’m bringing it back to life as a guest house with a sweet little cottage garden inside the picket fenced yard. It is a work in progress, with May 2013 as a target completion date.”
