Got a bunch of old junk vintage and antique items you’re looking to unload and live in the Hudson Valley? Pinball machine collection making you feel claustrophobic? It might not hurt to throw your hat into the ring with the History Channel’s American Pickers,http://www.history.com/shows/american-pickers according to some local news sources, including WPDH.com.

We hear that they’re looking for collectors in the Hudson Valley (mid? upper? lower? the whole thing?) to film for the popular series, in which Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz scour the country for cool ephemera. Furthermore, they’re apparently looking for “characters” who collect. We’re not sure exactly what constitutes a “character,” but if you spend your time collecting KISS Army memorabilia, 19th-century tricycles, or taxidermy, you might be “character” enough.

For the list of items the show is looking for and how to apply, read the aforementioned article. Email americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST with your name/town/state, phone number, location of your collection, and description of your items.
