Chronogram 8-Day Week: “Love Letters”
Kandy Harris | February 20, 2014Just because Valentine’s Day is over doesn’t mean we can continue the love fest with the play about love letters. “Love Letters”, an appropriately-titled play by A.R. Gurney, presents a simple theatrical premise: Actors read a series of letters exchanged between Melissa and Andrew, who grew up together as children and remained in contact through written word even as they lived completely separate lives. Since the entire play is read, there’s no need for the actors to memorize their lines. Bring some tissue, because unless your heart is made of granite, you might need it. “Love Letters” is being performed at the Beacon Theatre this weekend and ends its run on Sunday, February 23rd. Tickets are $18. Find out more on the Beacon Theatre website.
