Temple Grandin

Arguably the most famous person with Autism, Temple Grandin really came into the public eye after the 2010 HBO biopic about her life starring Claire Danes. In case you missed all that, however, Temple Grandin is a renowned animal scientist, animal rights proponent, and Autism advocate known for her work in humane livestock handling and as an innovator in the field of Autism treatment. On March 4th, she will be presenting a talk entitled “The Autistic Brain: Helping Different Kinds of Minds to be Successful,” based on her latest book, at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown. Grandin’s lecture begins at 7pm and will feature a Q&A and book signing afterward. Tickets are available here on the Paramount Theatre website and are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free to college students with I.D.
