Staples connected with a new and younger audience when she recorded the Grammy-winning You Are Not Alone, a set produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy. Her newest recording, One True Vine, was released this year and finds the 74-year-old icon singing songs by Nick Lowe, George Clinton, and Low’s Alan Sparhawk.
