It’s Church Week! Can We Get an Amen?
Upstater Staff | October 20, 2014Don’t worry, you can put your hymnals and scriptures to the side for now. It’s not that kind of Church Week. It’s the kind of Church Week where we drool and dream about fixing up an old church (like the one depicted above from a recent issue of Upstate House) and living in our cathedral-esque work of art forever. Each day, we will post about one church property located somewhere in the Upstater area (this week, we’ll be in Kingston, Saugerties, Accord, Warwick, and Monticello. Here’s the reality check: All of the old churches we’re posting this week are blank canvases ready to be transformed. To be blunt, they don’t look the beauty in the picture above, so prepare to put in the work or pay someone to put it in for you. Also, if you happen live in a renovated church, we would love to hear from you. And we would love to see pictures. So let us know about it in the comments.
