The hunt for great weekend rentals has finally culminated in this: two rooms at Benmarl Vineyards in Marlboro, complete with a complimentary wine tasting, tour, and 10% off purchases. Obviously we love the Hudson Valley at Upstater, and obviously we love wine; Benmarl Vineyards is basically our Shangri-La. Drink your wine, gaze upon the land that bears it, and fall asleep on both. That’s almost romantic to the point of kitsch. The suite, priced at $250 a night, provides a queen size bed, connected private bath and connected balcony. The smaller room, $150 a night, offers a full size bed with an unconnected private bathroom. If you’re still good to drive, Beacon, Wappingers Falls and Poughkeepsie are only 20 minutes away with plenty of sights to see.
