Epic Olana
Kandy Harris | January 14, 2014We don’t get out to the movies much, but after we heard that Epic, the latest animated feature by the makers of Ice Age and Rio, uses the Olana State Historic Site as the setting for the movie, we’re considering dropping way too much money on tickets and popcorn to see what they do with it. From the still shown above, it certainly looks like artist Frederic Church’s Persian-inspired estate in Hudson. But Epic isn’t the only film set at Olana. Another film was shot there in the 1970s, and unlike Epic, it was decidedly NOT kid friendly. Read about it here on the Gossips of Rivertown blog (warning: Adult content afoot).
