Get Your Nature on in These Rentable Woodland Getaways
Peter Martin | April 1, 2015To have stayed in a cabin or lodge is to appreciate just how special it is. It’s hard to imagine how different it would be from any other house, but there’s just an amazing vibe to it. There’s no other way to feel so close to nature while maintaining just that touch of civilization and comfort. These two beautiful BnBs definitely dial up the comfort meter, but not so much that we couldn’t still pretend to be lumberjacks. Luckily for our coworkers, we’ve cut down on that to only the weekends. So don’t wait, pack your flannel and have some flapjacks at these great rentals.

When made Teddy Roosevelt great? If you were thinking ‘his lifestyle,’ then this is the cabin for you. A cozy fireplace, a deer head mounted over the mantle, and beautiful, light-stained wood never more than an arms length away. Bring your own whiskey/feats of manliness, and enjoy the accessible hiking or head into closeby Saugerties or Woodstock for a night out. Just be sure to speak softly and don’t forget your stick.
Sample reviews:
“Everything was amazing. The house is gorgeous and was perfect for big dinners and then sitting by the fire. It’s decorated beautifully. The area is lovely even in the winter. Christopher and Geoffrey were super helpful and very responsive. We will definitely be back year after year!”
