Don’t get us wrong. We love a drafty, old 18th-century farmhouse as much as the next real estate blog. However, when the snow starts flying around the Hudson Valley and Catskills, we’re looking for residential real estate that includes some more modern features like radiant heat floors, double-hung windows that stop the biting cold winds, or, at the very least, decent insulation. And, if we can find such a house that uses sustainable, eco-friendly methods to keep the inside cool in the summer and warm in the winter, even better.
