Journey to Hyde Park for the Weekend
Mary Looram | August 21, 2015Price/night: $160
Accommodations: Bedroom w/ 2 twin beds and private bathroom
Max guests: 2
Min stay: 2 nights, weekends/all days May thru Nov
Description: Though it may not be as splendid as its neighbor the Vanderbilt Mansion, the Journey Inn Bed and Breakfast ain’t too shabby, either. The Roosevelt Room, named for another set of famous neighbors, is one of the themed rooms offered at the inn. It’s not as luxurious as the Vanderbilt Suite, and the 2 twin beds may not be the optimal choice for a couple or single guest, but, should you and a friend see fit, it’s the perfect place to spend the night after a tour or an exhaustive hike. The tasteful décor and soft pink walls exude the calm desired in a weekend away, and there’s something about the poster bed frames that is just downright cute. Should a weekend getaway for 1 become a getaway for 3, the Journey Inn also has the option to book an additional person for $50 in one of their suites. Spread the love and share some pie, while you’re at it.
