Did You Know that the Oscars are Made in the Hudson Valley?

  |  February 24, 2017

It’s true. Right in Orange County, as a matter of fact. And, for the second year in row, Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry has made the Oscar statuettes that will land in the famous hands of the 2017 winners.

Watch the magic happen in this video from Poughkeepsie Journal, which also mentions that Adam Demchak, VP of Polich and Beacon resident, will be at the Academy Awards post-party after the ceremony on February 28th to attach nameplates to the statuettes (3,048 statuettes will be awarded, according to Oscars.org, and they’re comprised of solid bronze and 24-carat gold-plated). Sounds like a pretty nice gig to us.

Polich Tallix not only makes statues, they provide restoration, digital, and architectural services, too. Find out more about the Rock Tavern, Orange County foundry here.
