Looking for a Saugerties Stay? It’s Your Lucky Day. Here’s a Hidden Loft for $200/night
Kandy Harris | December 8, 2015I’ve lived in Saugerties for over 11 years, and the village still manages to surprise me on a regular basis. Take, for example, this mid-century-inspired loft space located right on Partition Street. Who knew that every time I walked into Lucky Chocolates (one of my favorite stores not just for tasty chocolates but baked goods, coffee, and cool toys), which I do more often than I’d like to admit, situated right above my head was this immaculate rental, owned and maintained by Lucky owner Rae Stang.
It’s a whimsical mix of mod style and Asian simplicity with a well appointed kitchen, one bedroom (cordoned off by shoji screens), and a loft space overlooking the living room. But wait! There’s more! The Lucky loft also includes a back lounge area with breakfast bar, wood stove, and access to what we consider one of Saugerties village’s hidden little treasures, a rooftop terrace garden with a fenced-in deck that’s dog-friendly.
Color me delighted. The 1500 sq. ft. apartment is available by the weekend or by the week, and this might be just the kind of place to stay in order to shake off some post-holiday blues. Everything in the village is walking distance from here, so take Rae’s advice: Park your car in the nearby free municipal lot and leave it there.
$200 per night for 4 people, $50 per additional person. Sleeps 6. Min. stay 2 nights.
