According to our sources, the Sullivan Regency, an up-scale luxury residence development, is slated to open its doors some time this month. Charles Brodsky and company, the same group behind the Regency at Lawrence in Long Island, promises that this development will “change the face of Sullivan County”. Here’s the dirt: Located in Monticello, the Sullivan Regency is 7 stories, consists of 92 units (one, two, and three bedroom) with designer interiors, indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, private courtyard, 24/7 security, and a shuttle bus to Bethel Woods. Whew! Sounds fancy enough, but does this type of development fit in with the character of the Catskills? Will it draw in residents looking to drop some coin in the surrounding communities? Only time will tell. What’s your take on this development? Tell us in the comments.
