Meridale Victorian, $80,000

As promised, the last in a series of upstate New York homes for less than $130,000. This Victorian in Meridale is in fact $50,000 less.

The reason? Someone has started refreshing it, but he or she hasn’t finished. Thus the broker’s description as full of potential.

We see what they mean: plenty of room, with three beds and an office, an eat-in kitchen and a formal dining room. It’s had a few upgrades, including a new well tank and hot water heater. Here’s an interesting note: you get the one-acre lot with it, but, if you want to ensure a subdivision-free existence, you can purchase the adjoining 51 acres as well.
