From NYMetroParents.com: What to Expect when You’re Expecting…Ski Lessons at Hunter & Windham
Staff | February 3, 2017
Need some first-hand experience on what it’s like to take a beginner ski lesson at Hunter and Windham Mountains? This recent article in NYMetroParents.com lays it all out pretty clearly, especially useful since it’s from a near-absolute beginner’s point of view. During the author’s one hour lesson at Hunter Mountain, she learned the basics and spent some extra time after practicing her skills. At Windham, it was a two-hour lesson and slightly more advanced practice. Both resorts offer a ton of options for beginnings, so if you’re trepidatious about trying a ski adventure in the Catskills, take a lesson from Windham or Hunter (they’re five minutes from each other).
Also mentioned was Hotel Vienna in Windham. They have a year-round heated pool, an amenity to consider when you’re new to skiing or snowboarding. Your sore muscles will thank you…
