NYS State Tourism Industry Association Gives High Marks to Dutchess & Sullivan Cos.
Kandy Harris | November 3, 2015As the number of visitors grow, so does the Hudson Valley’s tourism industry, and Dutchess County appears to be leading the charge. In fact, the county was recently recognized by the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) for Excellence in Tourism Marketing for the county’s ‘Distinctly Dutchess’ campaign (Mary Kay Vrba, Executive Director, Dutchess Tourism, Inc.). Additionally, NYSTIA gave the top recognition to the Distinctly Dutchess campaign for Visitor Service: Distinctly Dutchess Tourism Training (Lydia Higginson, Deputy Director, Dutchess Tourism, Inc.)
Also among the list of NYSTIA’s award winners from all over the state was Sullivan County County Visitors Association President/CEO Roberta Byron Lockwood for Excellence in Leadership, showing that the Catskill Mountain communities are graining their own tourism momentum.
