Upstater Staff | April 6, 2016Way to grow, Saugerties. Starting with composting in May, the little plot of land depicted above will soon be transformed into a community food share garden. Re:Seed Saugerties will be working with, according to their website, “the village neighborhood, Long Spoon Collective, Cody Creek Farm, Saugerties Boys and Girls Club, Earth Guardians New York, local food growers, artists and you!” to start the growing season. Want to see what it’s all about? Come to opening ceremonies at 204 Washington Avenue, Saugerties on Earth Day, April 22, 2016, 2-5pm. Whether it’s community or plants, we love to watch good things grow, and this sounds like a good thing to us.
