Hudson Valley Resort, Kerhonkson. Rock and Roll not pictured.

On New Year’s Eve, the Hudson Valley Resort in Kerhonkson will once again play host to the Rock and Roll Resort, an event that features 20 more than a dozen music acts spread out over three stages over the course of 10 hours. If you want to spend your NYE rocking out but not battling for the bartender’s attention at a crowded bar, Rock and Roll Resort might be just the thing for you.

There are a number of package options, starting with day passes for $55 all the way up to a VIP package that includes a one night stay for two, event tickets, two meals per guest, champagne, drink tickets, and a shiny laminated VIP pass to wear around your neck as you become the envy of all of your friends. That package costs $355. There are a whole laundry list of rules in the Resorts FAQ (such as outside alcohol is limited to champagne only and must be kept in your room), so it’s worth looking it over before you pack up the car and head out. Added bonus: City dwellers can hop on the Shortline bus at the Port Authority, which will take you straight to the venue. No need to drive. The type of music featured at the resort seems to be primarily focused around jam bands, with acts including Particle, Bastinado, MUN, Fikus, and Cheatcode. Children can attend, and those under the age of 12 get in free.

For more information on all the nifty amenities the HV Resort has to offer, check out the website. Let the rocking commence.
