RoTW: Phoenicia Creekside House, $250/night
Kandy Harris | August 6, 2013We don’t know about you, but we could sure use a few more tree houses in our life, so when hunting around the Internet for a tree house rental in the area, we came across this beauty located along the Esopus Creek just north of Phoenicia. While it’s not a tree house per se, it is a huge tree platform 20 feet from the ground, and that suits us just fine. The actual house on the ground is as lovely as can be, with lots of light pouring in a billion windows and skylights, a great old rustic wood stove, and a patio. According to the VRBO information, it’s located at the end of a dead end road so close to the creek that you can hear it burbling while you’re sleeping. Yes, please. House has two bedrooms and sleeps six at $250/night, 2 night minimum.
