RoTW: Thanksgiving at Red Mountain, $900

It’s not too late to find a rental upstate for Thanksgiving, if you’re looking for one. Our friends at Red Cottage Rentals have a nifty little category specifically for available holiday rentals, and Red Mountain, located in the Sullivan County hamlet of Livingston Manor, is one such getaway. Three days over Thanksgiving will run you $900 or four days for $1,100. The house sleeps four maximum, but it would also make a nice cozy retreat for two. Cook a feast in the kitchen, curl up by the fireplace, enjoy a (likely) snowy view over the treetops from the deck, and revel in the seclusion of it all. While holidays with the family can be wonderful, sometimes, it’s preferable to get away from it all. Don’t worry; you’ll still have cell service, and there’s WiFi. Dogs allowed.
