Stone Ridge circa-1709 Stone Farmhouse, $999,000
Kandy Harris | April 30, 2013Stone Ridge has a preponderance of beautiful old stone houses, including this one, which was built in 1709. For the asking price, we would love to see a bit more of the interior, but we’re also big fans of big barns, which help to make this property even sweeter. Lot size is a roomy 55+ acres, and it’s not far from the center of the hamlet, yet tucked back enough from any roads to offer some privacy. Love that tin roof. Our hearts get all fluttery when we look at old stone houses. It’s sort of akin to the thought of living in a museum, the same reason why we used to love that book about the two kids who run away to live in the Met. Remember that book?
