The Danger of Going Upstate in October

No, we’re not referring to fires or hurricanes (although after last year, who the heck knows). Instead, we are talking about the intoxicating power of the Catskills as they succumb to crimson and gold and the sun gets sharper and warmer at the same time. Fall can envelop you, make you forget about the unrelenting heat of summer of the big ole’ drag of winter, and can make it seems like upstate New York is perpetual heaven. If you have a way to live here (a job, a retiree’s living, an ability to live off the land or a telecommunity situation), now is the time to make your dream come true. If you don’t: bring a box of tissues with you, ’cause you’re gonna be sad you don’t live here.
