This Weekend, Dress Like a Steampunk Trout
Kandy Harris | June 11, 2014Every June, the Sullivan County hamlet of Livingston Manor holds a Trout Parade, celebrating both the hamlet’s history as the birthplace of fly fishing and its community spirit. This year’s theme is steampunk (if you don’t know what is, think Victorian sensibilities with a science fiction streak, like if Sherlock Holmes or Edgar Allen Poe had access to futuristic technology), and we think that’s awesome. The 11th annual Trout Parade starts at 1pm on Saturday, June 14 on Main Street, so polish your monocle, slap on your fish tale, and use your steam powered teleportation device to make your way over to the fun in Livingston Manor. More on the parade here on the Catskill Art Society’s website.
