Volunteers Needed at the Hudson Valley Food Bank
Upstater Staff | December 11, 2014We’ve heard that the HV Food Bank is desperately in need of volunteers to help prepare food for distribution. After recent cuts to SNAP benefits, the Food Bank is experiencing an marked uptick in families looking for assistance. From their press release: “To meet the increasing need, the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley is finding new sources of donated food. As more food comes into the Food Bank, our dedicated volunteers are working overtime to sort it for distribution to nearly 400 emergency feeding programs.” The Food Bank is looking for groups and individual volunteers alike. If you’re interested, contact Troy Martin at (845)534-5344 or tmartin@foodbankofhudsonvalley.org.
