Walkable Cold Spring Cottage, $398,000
Upstater Staff | September 24, 2014The village of Cold Spring is set on a hill with the Metro-North station and the waterfront at the bottom of the hill. So, although there are many houses in Cold Spring walking distance to the train station and all the stuff in town, most required a schlep up and down the hill (we wouldn’t mind that, but we’re sort of twisted that way). The nice thing about this little cottage is that it’s already at the bottom of the hill, so no uphill schlep required. It’s also just off Main Street where it’s all going on, and for Cold Spring, the price is pretty affordable. There’s really not much of a yard to speak of. More of a postage stamp slightly larger than the footprint of the house, but there’s a wee patio and a fence separate the house from the attached neighbor. Cute, bright interior with a living room fire place and off-street parking with a detached garage. There’s even aheated finished space on top of the garage perfect for a home office.
