What’s Up in Warwick, NY? This Gorgeous Stone House, For Starters…

  |  July 2, 2018

Take a ride with us this week to the southern tip of Orange County for all that’s awesome in the world of Warwick, NY residential real estate…

Our first stop? This renovated stone house dating back to 1816. Built in the Federal style, the stately house features a meticulous restoration of its original Federal attributes: Flat front facade, ornamentation reserved for the interior, heavily-influenced by its Colonial-style predecessors. In fact, you can see that this house looks all the world like an American Colonial if you look from a different angle (the addition to the left looks to be more recent than 1816)…

Oh, but wait until you see the 2,369-square foot interior…

Have you picked up your jaw off the floor yet? Needless to say, this is one fabulous three-bedroom/two-bath home. It also includes a level, landscaped property with stone walls, perennial gardens, and an old carriage house/garage that could be used for storage or as a workshop.

Situated about 5 minutes north of Warwick village in the town of Warwick. The west-of-Hudson area borders New Jersey to the south and Sterling Forest/Greenwood Lake to the east. NYC is less than 90 minutes away. If such a thing as a quintessential American town still exists (or ever did), the village of Warwick would fit the bill. With a population of around 7,000 residents, the historic village hosts a yearly apple festival, the Summer Arts Festival, The Black Dirt Feast, the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival. Apparently, Warwick loves its local music scene. There’s also the Warwick Valley Farmers Market, orchards, wineries, and historic buildings galore.
