What Are the Boundaries of the Hudson Valley?

We ask because it’s spring and along with the flowers, travel stories are blossoming. We’ve found quite a few this week extolling the virtues of the Hudson Valley (more on those stories later in the week). It’s just that some of those virtues are in Westchester. Others are just south of Albany. One magazine seems to think the Hudson Valley is only along the river. Is the valley south of the mountains? Is it where the land dips to meet the water? Just where does this so-called valley begin and end?
