A Greek Revival with Beautiful Vintage Style and a Great Barn for $589.5K

What’s upstate without beautiful barns to admire? This week, Upstater’s visiting houses that have pretty barns as a benefit.

Today’s pick is in Livingston, Columbia County. The house itself is stunning, a c.1900 Greek Revival with front-porch-column credentials to match. It’s got three bedrooms and two baths in 2,104 square feet.

The main-floor rooms have a plethora of pine flooring, all scrubbed shiny. The living room also has beautiful white-painted trim around the windows, door, and decorative fireplace. And we’re kinda digging that funky pendant lamp.

We see a peek of the kitchen, but let’s pop through that other doorway first.

Hey, a parlor with the same gorgeous floor, decorative fireplace, and another funky pendant. Both rooms are gray with white accents.

The kitchen’s buttery yellow walls complement the gray wood floors and granite counters over white cabinets. The center island holds the sink and a stainless steel dishwasher.

The kitchen is roomy and open, with lots of storage possibilities.

The microwave and electric range are stainless steel, too. The door next to them leads…

…to a super-cute enclosed porch with a warm wood ceiling and gray-painted floor. White wainscoting brightens up the space, but all of it needs a bit of a touchup.

Back inside, this dining room off the kitchen has its own little decorative fireplace and a beaded iron chandelier.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, all of them in the same gray/white color scheme. This one is long, lean, and carpeted.

This one has a single window but is otherwise the same.

Ditto for the third.

The home has two full baths, but it’s not clear from the listing if they’re on separate floors or both on the second level. This one has a modernish gray vanity with a marble top, and a modern triple set of overhead sconces.

This one has a marbled vanity and a tiled tub surround in a creamy white that plays off the beige floor tiles.

There’s a covered patio off the porch out back, and Bilco doors to the basement. The house is on 1.19 acres.

The barn is in good shape. It’s painted gray with white trim.

It’s got electricity, too.

And stairs that access the upper story from outside.

There are a couple rooms up here that are perfect for storage, crafting, or a studio.

The house is a 15-minute drive from the city of Hudson, and is just off of Route 9.
