Get ready to tuck into the tasty menus of the Hudson Valley during Restaurant Week, November 3-16. This year, like most past years, dozens upon dozens of restaurants will be participating from northern Columbia County all the way down to southern Westchester and both sides of the river between. The way it works is pretty simple: Participating eateries offer a prix-fixe 3-course dinner for $29,95, or lunch for $20.95. Since we’re spending the week in New Paltz, we thought we’d share our recommendation for Restaurant Week. Of the 3 restaurants participating, all of which are great, we suggest the Village Tea Room and Bakeshop. The local farm-to-table favorite has a sumptuous lunch menu that includes a goat cheese, roasted summer squash and pesto we could definitely sink our teeth into. For dinner, expect more seasonal selections like cornmeal crusted cod and chick pea stew. Find all of the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week dining here on the website.
