Tivoli’s “Lace Factory,” $319,000
Upstater Staff | December 12, 2014Upstater Real Talk: We almost didn’t post about this property. Not because we don’t like it. Quite the contrary, in fact. We’re fairly intrigued by it. We almost didn’t post about it because there just aren’t enough pictures. Two snapshots of the living room don’t tell much of a story, and we have to admit, it was almost a deal-breaker for us. But nonetheless, here it is, and we think we like it. Currently occupied by renters, the house sits next door to the St. Sylvia Church in the village of Tivoli and was once home to nuns who handmade lace, hence its nickname “The Lace Factory.” So, does a good back story and a cute exterior make up for a lack of interior photos? Certainly in this case it does, but overall, we tend to post properties with a good selection of decent pictures to go with it, just in case you were wondering what goes into our selection process. We know you were all dying to know.
