Outrageous Views From This Quirky Contemporary, $475,000
Peter Martin | May 11, 2015Any trip to the Vanderbilt Historic Site or Mill’s Mansion instills a fervent lust for hilltop, Hudson River views. While this three bedroom home may not have Italianate sculpted molding, the view it commands will make you feel like a millionaire (back when that used to be a lot of money). While it’s not cheap by any measure, it comes in pretty reasonably compared to homes or even lots with similar views. We also really like some of the quirky details scattered throughout. That spiral staircase is really neat and the chandelier above it helps to add some drama. We also like the cylindrical fireplace, and nobody would complain about the nice hardwood floors either. With time and patience this home could join the ranks of incredible river-side real estate.
