House Crush of the Day: Antique Stone House B&B in Kingston, $699,000
Kandy Harris | July 10, 2015Can we get a “hell yes” for this touch of the Antebellum south in uptown Kingston? Currently an established B&B that apparently rakes in some good dough, this c.1802 stone Centerhall is a masterpiece, alright, complete with Greek Revival columns, a grand entryway with tile floors, double living room with side-by-side fireplaces (5 fireplaces in all), sun room overlooking the pool and patio, and so many bells and whistles, we can’t begin to enumerate them. The architectural details alone are enough to win us over (even with the existence of white carpeting, which just feels like a game with no winners), but the land underneath it comes in an acre-sized plot with an in-ground pool and lots of vegetation, a little hard to find in the middle of a city. Attached to the main house is 2-story house that could double as your residence should you continue the B&B. Oh, but wait. It also comes with a 2-unit apartment building. That’s a lot for the listing price, but the taxes are high.
322 Albany Avenue, Kingston (Westwood Metes & Bounds)
