Affordable Fleischmanns Centenarian, $89,000
Mary Looram | August 4, 2015For coming in at close to 100 years old, this colonial carries its age well. Reasonably priced at just about 90k and with 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths, it’s similarly apt to carry the weight of a moderately sized family. The upstairs space, if one were so inclined, could also be converted to a separate-ish apartment, handy for visiting or live-in extended family. The exterior of the house is what first draws the eye, quaint and pristine with plenty of windows and a nice porch for warm summer evenings spent at home. The inside, however, is attention grabbing in a different way. I’m sure the previous owners of this home loved it and cared for it as well as anyone could, but the variety of wallpaper on the inside is just this side of garish. I have nothing wrong with adding a personal touch to one’s living space but, if I were you, I’d spend the spare cash from the sale on an interior design reboot.
