A Phoenicia Chalet-Style Property for $1.3M

  |  September 14, 2023

At Upstater, we try to focus on affordable homes. But we saw this Phoenicia beauty and couldn’t resist sharing it.

This three-bedroom was custom-built just six years ago. It’s got ski-chalet vibes with cedar siding and an A-frame style.

The entrance is calm and peaceful, with a wood floor, light-colored walls, and wood trim.

The living room has a peaked ceiling, a blue accent wall with a triangular window above sliding-glass doors, and a wood floor.

From the living room, there’s a view through the dining room into a cozy family room.

The dining area is airy and bright, thanks to another set of sliders to the deck. Tongue-and-groove wood lines the ceiling…

…as it does here, too, in the family room. It has lots of windows and is just big enough for a pair of easy chairs, ottomans, and a cocktail table.

Another seating area is tucked next to the staircase, near the kitchen.

The kitchen has a tongue-and-groove ceiling; wood flooring; stainless appliances; and a breakfast peninsula.

The butcher-block counters complement the white cabinets and wood floor, and a blue tile backsplash adds a cool element.

The main-floor bedroom is spare but functional, with gray walls and lots of wood trim.

This bathroom has white subway tile in the tub/shower and navy blue walls accenting a gray tile floor and gray-and-white vanity.

The staircase overlooks the main floor.

This bedroom has a peaked, wood-plank ceiling and a big closet.

The bathroom up here has a tiled shower stall and a big white vanity.

This bedroom has room for a desk opposite a blue accent wall.

The half-bath has dusty blue walls, too.

The basement is finished.

There’s a gym area and closet storage.

A laundry room is bright, with an adjoining room big enough to fold a full family’s wardrobe.

There’s a lot of outdoor space, starting with this deck that has room for a dining area.

The 4.5-acre lot includes this cool firepit area, too. Like yesterday’s property, it’s in the Woodland Valley area of Phoenicia, so it’s close to all the fun parts of Phoenicia.

And….there’s an outdoor cedar sauna, too!
