A Young Woodstock Contemporary: $1.4M

  |  April 5, 2024

Welcome to Fancy Friday—Upstater is visiting a Woodstock abode that’s just five years old.

This Woodstock contemporary exudes fine quality, starting with a two-tiered, 1,020-square-foot Trex deck off the great room.

Maintenance-free, the deck becomes another living space for most of the year.

A wall of windows and glass doors in the great room brings the outdoors in.

The natural light brightens the great room and contrasts with dramatically dark cabinetry in the kitchen. Miele appliances and quartz countertops are the highlights here, too, along with a mosaic-tiled backsplash.

Each of the two main bedrooms have access to the deck, too.

Each bedroom has an ensuite bath. This bathroom has a sweet, stained-glass window.

It’s got an enclosed, tiled stall shower, too.

A walk-in closet has a full-length mirror that, at first glance, may make the room appear twice as large.

The second bedroom has verdant views.

Its ensuite bath has a dual-sink vanity and a glass-doored stall shower.

Head down the wine-toned staircase…

…to the lower level, where a wine-storage wall can hold tons of vintage.

The ceiling is nicely finished down here. This room has a wall of built-in media shelves.

A bunk bed is tucked into another corner of the room.

The bathroom down here is beautifully finished with dark subway tile outside a tub/shower, and tiny tile on the inside. A lighter wood, dual-sink vanity has plenty of storage space.

A stained-glass window is embedded in the wall in this bathroom, too.

A shattered-bluestone patio adds more outdoor space…

…though the new owners probably would want to spend most of their time on the deck, with that view of Overlook Mountain.

It’s about five miles to the heart of Woodstock, and 3.5 miles to great jams at Levon Helm Studios.
