Affordable Cottage on 1.25 acres in Rhinebeck, $259,900
Kandy Harris | June 24, 2015According to the listing, this 1000 square foot renovated cottage north of Rhinebeck village was recently reduced in price by $35,100. That’s huge, because we’ve been eyeballing this place for a while, mostly ignoring it due to the previous listing price. Will the price continue to fall? We’re not prognosticators, but it might. Or, someone may snatch it up now that’s in a more affordable range. After all, it could make a nice part-time residence that’s close to the Hudson River, right off the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, and less than 10 minutes from the Rhinecliff Amtrak station. The interior is bright and open with a stone fireplace, granite kitchen (all appliances included), and new furnace and hot water, not to mention a fresh coat of paint. Outside, 1 and a quarter acres of land is certainly nothing to sneeze at.
